We love discovering that our SupaAgents come from all walks of life, from the busy mothers with full time jobs to those looking for an option that would allow them to spend more time with their loved ones. Terance joined us in April 2017 as a medical graduate who wanted an opportunity to travel, not for leisure, but for the prospect of a bright future. Read on to find out more about August’s remarkable SupaAgent of the Month.
Bright and positive Terance moved to Malaysia from Indonesia when he was just 6 years old and remained there until he graduated university just recently. For him, he believes in the saying “To cure sometimes, to relieve often, to comfort always.”. Which is why he is so driven to find a solid career in cancer and palliative care, having only one place in mind to find a job as a medical intern – Melbourne, Australia.
When he found out about Supahands through a friend, he was already busy with university projects and job applications but he was attracted to the opportunity to earn money flexibly. Flights and expenses in Australia are significantly more expensive so he signed up to be a SupaAgent quickly so that he could start saving.
When we spoke to Terance last week, he had already flew to Melbourne using the money that he earned from being a SupaAgent to pay for his travel expenses. At the moment, he is in the middle of attending interviews, meeting potential employers face-to-face and chasing the dream of a career in the medical line. Even in between his busy schedule, Terance is still working on projects from across the waters and (after speaking to Project Manager Shaza) is still doing a stellar job at all of them.
After managing to accomplish what would take most of us a lot of guts to even begin, Terance still remains his humble self and claims that working with SupaAgents who are also mothers such as last month’s SupaAgent of the month, Hana, is truly something special.
“SupaMums have to assume so many roles in their lives and still deliver in Supahands projects while I am still sorting out my own life. Haha!”
In the 4 months since he joined the SupaAgent community, Terance has enjoyed working on multiple projects and has even gotten to know our Project Managers, Shaza and Qistina, both of whom he adoringly refers to as his fairy godmothers and leaders that he looks up to. We’re always in awe when we look back at where we started from and it’s people like Terance who remind us to remember where we came from. Supahands started as just a virtual assistant service provider. Now, we are a fully B2B outsourcing service with a large community that encourages open communication and allows us to connect well, even with our remote workforce.
“It continues to amaze me how we can work so well together despite never meeting anyone in Supahands in person.”
It continues to amaze us too and it is something that we will never take for granted. Want to meet Terance (virtually) and build your own SupaAgent dream? Apply now.
